FAQs

The name emerged from the understanding that each thread of our lives intertwines with threads in the lives of so many others. Life is a vast tapestry in which every thread of insight, experience, and wisdom connects us all. Just as ancient weavers created beauty from single linguistic strands, we believe that carefully chosen words from remarkable souls can weave knowledge, clarity, and compassion into our lives. Each badge becomes a visible thread in this greater human story.

We select many of our paragons because they hold deep personal significance for us, they inspire us to be better than we were the day before. Their wisdom has guided us through moments of struggle, and their examples have sparked the courage needed to embrace life’s challenges. For me, a quote from Marcus Aurelius was truly transformative: “It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.” It inspired profound changes in my life and even helped give rise to this business.
At the same time, we honour those whose contributions have enriched humanity on a broader scale through their work for people, animals, technology, science, nature, the human psyche, even divinity itself. In every case, we choose voices that continue to touch our hearts and minds, and weave their wisdom into the tapestry of our shared progress. -
We strive to source all quotes with the utmost accuracy and care. While quotes from recent history can be more easily verified, it is possible that some quotes may not be verbatim but instead distill the essence of a paragon’s teachings or philosophies. This is because many of these profound messages were recorded by devoted followers, passed down through generations, and shaped by the influences of time, culture, and the evolution of language—particularly for figures like Socrates, who committed nothing to writing. Numerous factors contribute to the evolution of wording over time, yet our guiding objective remains to capture the true character of each paragon authentically. Transformed into art on our badges, these quotes are designed to inspire, evoke inner strength, and foster meaningful connections among people. We hope you appreciate the spirit of our mission.

Yes, a small number of our badges do have some AI elements, but most of our badges do not. Our artist draws from a rich and diverse palette of tools, both traditional and cutting-edge, with artificial intelligence serving as one powerful instrument among many. We thoughtfully employ AI to explore well-crafted concepts and to manifest specific imagery that either does not yet exist in the world or would be extraordinarily difficult or time-consuming to create by hand alone.
This approach allows us to expand the boundaries of what is visually possible while remaining firmly rooted in human creativity and intention. We are in no way dependent on AI to define or drive our creative vision. Just like all other technological tools that exist, the important thing is how they are used and for what purpose. We strongly believe it matters.
Instead, much like the transformative arrival of the computer or the printing press in their respective eras, we embrace these new technologies with deep appreciation and discernment. We use them not as a replacement for human artistry, but as a sophisticated collaborator. In this way, technology becomes a true enhancement to the spirit of creation rather than its competition. -
We are in our initial stages of developing this company and don’t have a system set up to materialize such requests, currently. At some point, we hope to grow departments that will be able to satisfy custom orders. However, we are interested in our customers' feedback and suggestions. If you would like to share your vision with us, feel free to reach out to us at connect@threadsofknowledge.com.
Also, if you are interested in making your voice heard, we do provide a way for you to vote on the next badge we are looking into developing. We encourage you to select one of the paragons we are considering for future products, or offer your own suggestion, on our homepage.

Machine-wash with a mild detergent on a cold, delicate cycle, turned inside out. Tumble-dry on low heat, or for maximum longevity, hang-dry. Avoid harsh detergents, fabric softeners, and bleach. To iron, turn the product inside out and use a cool iron; never iron the printed area.
We use a high-quality printing technique that honors the depth of each design and is designed to last longer than other printing methods. With mindful handling, your garment will continue to carry its message beautifully for years to come.

We aim to provide products made from premium, responsibly sourced cotton or cotton blends that feel soft against the skin. The badges are printed with fully high-quality techniques that honors the depth of each design and lasts longer than other methods so that you can enjoy your products longer. We also prioritize choosing brands that have ethical business practices and a low environmental impact. We believe that the products we sell should not come at the cost of the world we hope to benefit.

First, we choose to list our prices as whole numbers. We are not looking to deceive the subconscious—we want you to know exactly what you are spending on products so you know whether or not you can afford the item.
Second, our badges cost a lot of time, effort, and money to produce. That being said, we try to keep our prices as low as possible so that the wisdom and inspiration that our products carry can reach as many minds and hearts as possible, while making enough to stay in business.
Third, we have plans to create a premium line of clothing that will be more expensive. There is a difference between a $30 Tee and $300 Tee. When it comes to cotton, “Sea Island cotton” is arguably the best, it’s rare and hard to come by. It has an Extra Long Staple (ELS) of 40-50mm, that is really long. This feels cloudlike on the body and if worn one would understand why an item costs so much when it is made with this material. The majority of clothing companies use American Upland cotton with an average staple of 27mm. This material is good for durability and keeping its color.
There are many other types of cottons in between the above mentioned materials—Supima, Giza 93, Suvin, and more. The premium products we plan to sell will be made from material that feels luxurious to the touch. When that time comes we will still try our best to make our products affordable. To our team at Threads of Knowledge, more important than making money, is the drive to produce a product that can affordably be placed in the hands of all citizens of earth. -
Using the print-on-demand system, your items can take 7 to 10 business days to arrive. Our garments are meticulously crafted with intention and care. By embracing the print-on-demand approach rather than the resource heavy practice of mass production, we nurture a world less burdened by excess and waste, fostering greater harmony with earth. Our planetary resources are not infinite and with responsible resource management, we can create a world of abundance. With genuine appreciation, we thank you for your mindful choices and helping with inspiring others to exercise more thoughtful business practices.
